About EazyCity

From two friends in Cork to thousands of International Experiences.

EazyCity was founded in Cork in 2004 by Julia Lynes and Enrico Zoppi, two friends who had experienced moving abroad themselves and knew just how challenging those first few weeks could be. What started as a two-person office has grown into a team of over twenty people across Ireland, Spain and United States.

Making moving abroad easier, more welcoming, and more rewarding for everyone.”

Our story

Travel and business, like two peas in a pod.

Julia and Enrico put the company down to the years they spent living and working abroad: bravery, curiosity, stubbornness and a strong sense of adventure.

Having spent years travelling and working abroad, the two founders had learned the same lesson: moving to a new country is far harder than it needs to be. That realisation pushed them to build the fix.

From a tiny two-person office in Cork, EazyCity grew into an international live-abroad agency with over twenty staff and offices in Ireland, the UK, Spain, Italy, and the United States.

  1. 2004

    Cork, two people

Julia Lynes and Enrico Zoppi start EazyCity from a shared apartment in Cork, placing students with local host families and personally welcoming new arrivals at the airport. From day one, they offer a personal touch, helping newcomers settle in through CV clinics, translation assistance and practical orientation services.

  2. 2005-2010

    Growing Beyond one city

EazyCity begins investing in its own houses and apartments, expanding its accommodation offering beyond host families. Alongside individual bookings, the company develops partnerships with language schools and international education agencies, welcoming students and young professionals referred by these partners. Building on its success in Cork, EazyCity replicates its accommodation model in other Irish cities, including Dublin and Galway.

  3. 2011-2026

    An international team

EazyCity expands beyond Ireland, opening offices in the UK and Spain and building a diverse international team. The company also strengthens its work placement programmes, partnering with local and international businesses to offer students valuable internship opportunities, helping them develop professional skills and gain practical experience while living in Ireland. In 2024, the EazyCity Group takes another important step by acquiring a language school in Waterford.

  4. Today

    Twenty people

EazyCity evolves by bringing its study and work abroad programmes under a dedicated brand, The Learning Abroad Co. Today, EazyCity focuses on providing accommodation across Ireland for international students and young professionals, offering both self-catering properties and host family stays.

  5. Next

Learning Resources – Conversation Cards and Digital Learning

Looking ahead, the company also aims to develop innovative educational resources for teachers, students and young adults, supporting learning, personal development and meaningful conversations within the language travel industry and beyond. We am to work with Language schools who want to invest in their Language Teachers and with Education Agents. These learning resources are developed for classrooms Activities, Pre-departure and onsite orientation.

Ethos and purpose

We build for young-at-heart people who are moving somewhere new.

Whatever the reason for the move, taking the plunge takes courage. Our job is to make the experience warmer, fairer, more straightforward and a hundred times less stressful.

  • We have done it ourselves

Our team is made up of people who either live abroad or have experienced life in another country. We know firsthand what it means to move somewhere new, adapt to a different culture and find your feet. We've been through it ourselves, and that experience shapes how we welcome and support our customers.

  • A second family

Moving abroad is an exciting experience, but it can also come with challenges. Our international team has been through it themselves and understands what it takes to settle into a new country. We're here to offer practical advice, personal support and a familiar point of contact, so our students and young professionals always know they have someone they can rely on.

  • Never resting on our laurels

Our ambition is to make the EazyCity Group a leading reference point in the international education and travel industry. We continue to evolve, improve our services and explore new opportunities to support international students, young professionals and our partners.
