Paid every Friday
Rent lands in your account weekly for as long as the guest is with you. We pay you whether or not the student has paid us on time.
Become a host family
For close to twenty years we have placed students and young professionals with families across Ireland, Spain and Italy. More than three hundred households host with us, and most of them keep doing it year after year.
You choose the board you offer, the dates you are available and how often you want guests. We handle the matching, the money and everything that goes wrong at midnight.

What you get
Rent lands in your account weekly for as long as the guest is with you. We pay you whether or not the student has paid us on time.
Registering your home, the quality viewing and your place on our books cost nothing, now or later.
A security deposit of 300 euro is taken from every guest before arrival and held by us, so any damage is not a conversation you have to start.
Students come through schools, universities and partner agencies, with their programme, dates and level confirmed before we contact you.
How it works
Ten minutes online. Tell us about the room, the household, your languages and when you are free to host.
A short conversation about what you are hoping for and what students usually need.
A quality viewing in person. We check the room, the bathroom, the route into town and the things students always ask about.
Plain language, no lock in. It sets out rates, notice periods and what each side is responsible for.
We send you profiles that fit your preferences. You say yes or no to each one, and no is always fine.
Once a booking is confirmed the guest pays us, and we pay you every Friday for as long as they stay.
Why host with us
The difference between hosting through us and listing a room yourself is everything that happens around the stay. We screen the guest, take the payment, hold the deposit and answer the phone at three in the morning when a flight is cancelled.
We never pass on your address or phone number until a booking is confirmed and you have said yes.
Our staff speak the languages your guests do, so misunderstandings get sorted in one call.
Illness, lost keys, a guest who has not come home. You ring us, not the other way round.
Guests pay EazyCity. You are never in the position of asking a nineteen year old for rent.
Questions hosts ask
Mostly Germany, France, Spain and Italy, with smaller numbers from across Europe and the Americas depending on the season.
Typically between 18 and 25. Junior groups are younger and are always placed with families who have specifically asked for them.
No. You see the profile and the dates first, and turning one down never affects the enquiries you get afterwards.
Three to four weeks on average. We accept bookings from one week upwards, and longer academic stays run for a term or more.
Half board. Breakfast and an evening meal with the family is what most students book, and full board adds 25 euro per week.
Ring the emergency line at any hour. If a placement is not working for either side we move the student, usually within a day.
Applications take about ten minutes. Rachel, Cristina and Troy in the Cork accommodation team answer on WhatsApp if you would rather ask first.
