Self-catering questions

The things people ask before taking a room.

All 17 self-catering answers live in the Knowledge Base once you have booked.

  • Can I receive my address earlier than 7 days prior to my arrival? Are my house preferences guaranteed?

Cork & Galway: we confirm the house assigned to you and the full address one week before arrival. We take your preferences into account but cannot guarantee them, as it depends on availability. Dublin: we send the address once full payment has been received.

  • What types of rooms do you offer? Can I book a twin room if I travel by myself?

We offer single, double and twin rooms. Yes — you can book a space in a twin room. You will be placed with someone of the same gender. Our team will help you through booking and on arrival.

  • Could you tell me the difference between Full twin room, Twin space and double room?

Double room — one large bed, mainly for couples. Full twin room — two single beds, for two people travelling together. Twin space — one bed in a twin room; you share with another guest of the same gender.

  • What does ensuite mean?

Ensuite means a private bathroom. It is a preference rather than a guarantee, but we will do our best. An ensuite room costs an extra €25 per week, per person.

  • Is it necessary for guests to bring towels, bed linens, and other related items?

Bed linen, a duvet and a pillow are provided. Please bring your own towels and personal items.

  • Once I am at the accommodation, how can I pay the next rent?

Through the portal — see Make a Payment .

  • Can I book a full house for me and my friends?

Cork & Galway: we cannot guarantee placing you all together — it depends on availability — but we will do our best. Dublin: all apartments have four rooms. If we have rooms available in the same apartment, we guarantee to place you together.

  • Can I leave the accommodation when I want, what is the notice period to leave the house?

We are flexible. We only ask for four weeks’ notice, and you receive your deposit back minus the €75 check-out fee.
